I was born on January 25, 1982 in Havana, Cuba. My mother is from Colon Matanzas and my father from Havana.

After I finished middle school, back then the San Alejandro Art Technical School was offering one scholarship per middle school, unfortunately it was not given to me because of preference by that I mean for not having someone to sponsor me like for everything else in Cuba. Soon after I decided to attend the Culinary Arts and Service Technical School in 10 De Octubre, there I graduated as a chef.

I worked for three years in a restaurant until my father in 2002 received “El Bombo”, a lottery of visas to the United States. One of the lottery articles says any unmarried child under 21 years of age could be included.

While immigration papers were getting ready I lost my job like any Cuban that is leaving the country since the government considers it antirevolutionary.

I left Cuba on October 8, 2003. My first job in the United States was in construction, for two years I worked in different construction companies due to the instability of the property market, until I was employed by Horizon Construction Company were I worked for 4 years. There I better myself, became heavy equipment operator and foreman of the concrete crew. During that time I lived in Homestead for 6 years.

The inspiration that shares my life was offered a promotion on March 2010 in key west and we decided to move. As soon as we moved to United States paradise island, I felt more than inspired to begin painting and at the same time I was working with Charley Toppinos & Sons Company.
